Transfusion Evidence Library database is now available at MUHAS - Muhimbili campus

The Transfusion Evidence Library database is now officially available at MUHAS – Muhimbili campus. The database consists of Systematic Reviews and Randomized Controlled Trials, and is a unique resource for medical practitioners, policy makers and researchers in the field of transfusion medicine.

The high quality of the evidence is ensured by applying strict methodological criteria, and new records are added every month. All relevant Systematic Reviews (since 1980) and RTCs (since 1998) are included, and pre-1998 RCTs will be added in the future. In the UK all NHS staff have access to this database.

In summary, the Transfusion Evidence Library database offers you:

·         Access to evidence-based information on all aspects of transfusion medicine
·         Access to all Systematic Reviews since 1980
·         Access to all Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) since 2002.  We are in the process of adding RCTs from before 2002.
·         Economic Studies (since 1980) relevant to transfusion medicine
·         Fully customized user interface specifically designed for the transfusion medicine community, including search filters that make it very easy to find specific information.
