This four days workshop, designed for
non-technologists, will introduce participants to the terminology and some of
the software tools that support development of institutional repositories,
optimizing access to content in digital library and repository through
multilingual search strategies and Web 2.0 technologies.
Course Main Topics
1. Introduction to basic
digital library, repositories and web 2.0 terminologies
2. Introduction to open source
software: work with linux software
3. Work with dspace software
to set up a digital repository
4. Multilingual online searches
4. Multilingual online searches
4. Use web 2.0 tools (RSS
feeds and alerts) to feature the contents of a repository
5. Online publishing
(micro-blogging and blogging)
Who Should Attend? Professionals involved in information management,
institutional management, librarians, lecturers ,project administrators and any
other professional who has a use for digital repository in their work.

Format: Training over 4 consecutive days, Face to
