Once again, the Directorate of Library Services will organize a Two Days workshop on Online Reference Management and Advanced Searches. The workshop will be conducted at the MUHAS, Undergraduate Computer Lab from 10th – 11th December, 2012 (10 am to 3.30 pm).
The library is inviting Academic Staff
from MUHAS to attend the workshop by submitting their details to the undersigned by close of Friday 7th December 2012 business.
Kindly, circulate this announcement to all academic staff. 25 participants will be accepted for the workshop. Therefore, earlier registration for the workshop is encouraged.
Programme of the training
• Online reference and citation management by using free and open source software called Mendeley
• Search Magic: How to conduct advanced multilingual online searches
• Search abstract and citation databases including ScienceDirect, Scopus, Google scholar other academic databases: CABI, HINARI,
• Search Free Online journals, books, such as DOAJ, OpenDoar, Free medical journals etc
Entitlements: During the event, the organisers will provide out of pocket allowance, lunch and refreshments. Participation in the workshop is free of charge. 25 participants will be accepted for the event.
